About Us

Mrs. Marieta Locsin Ledesma, one of the founders of the school, believed that quality education would give a chance for a better life to the children of farm workers.

St. Francis of Assisi School of Silay City Foundation, Inc. (SFAS) is a private Catholic institution established in 1964 with a vision to provide quality Christian education particularly to the children of farm workers in the area and the neighboring communities who cannot afford the regular private schools.

Located in a 5 hectare campus just outside Silay City, Negros Occidental (Philippines), the school facilities include a library, audio-visual room, chapel, computer room, Science laboratory, covered and open courts and recreation field.

The school provides kindergarten to high school education for 600 students.

Under the supervision of the La Salle Christian Brothers, SFAS has grown into a leading institution in the city of Silay.
